Your holiday starts in the village of San Vito Lo Capo on Sicily’s north coastline that lies close to one of Italy’s most beautiful coastal nature reserves, the Zingaro Natural Reserve. Marettimo is the most mountainous of the Egadi Islands just off the western coast, it is walker’s paradise: cliff paths wind through Spanish broom and purple cistus to Saracen fortresses, Roman villas and coral lined sea grottoes and for the children, a long path on the back of the mules, an unforgettable experience. Then the Salt Pans in Marsala with the typical Wind Mills and a wine tasting along the way. An itinerary rich of colours and tastes.

Itinerary
Palermo – San Vito Lo Capo

Arrival in the airport in Palermo and private transfer to San Vito Lo Capo, fishermen village on the most picturesque coastline of Sicily.
Zingaro Natural Reserve (6 hours walking +500m -500m )

Your excursion will begin from the north entrance of the Zingaro Natural Reserve. A beautiful and suggestive walk will introduce you to this amazing nature reserve with its fabulous coves and wonderful panoramas. You will have a possibility to have a relaxing bath in one of the coves. Return to San Vito lo Capo for overnight.
San Vito lo Capo - Erice - Marettimo

After the breakfast departure for Erice, a wonderful medieval village located on the top of a hill with its narrow streets and delicatessen shops. Do not miss the tasting of the famous almond cakes. In the afternoon departure to Trapani from where the ferry will take you to the mysterious island of Marettimo.

Today you will walk along the path that starts from the village and brings to Case Romane, a fortress of Roman Age. You will see a charming little church of the Byzantine period (X c.) in front of it and you will reach a panoramic point used for bird watching.

In the morning excursion of the island along a panoramic route from Punta Troia to the Castle, originally a watchtower made into a fortress in the 17C by the Spanish. Afternoon at disposal to discover and enjoy the beautiful beach of Marettimo or for a tour by boat together with a local fisherman who will show you the unapproachable coasts of the island.
Marettimo – Marsala Wine Tasting – Trapani

In the morning departure by ferry to Marsala town where you will admire the Salt Pans and the magnificent Wind Mills and you will have a possibility to participate in a wine tasting in one of the many wine cellars. Continue to Trapani and overnight.
Monte Cofano Reserve

Today you will visit the Cofano Natural Reserve. Mount Cofano, high 659 m, is a cape that separates two gulfs – Cofano and Bonagia. One of the main characteristics of this excursion are the coves that you will see along the path.
