Apulia is a region in southern Italy or the Italian “heel”, which is proud of its trulli houses, traditional masserias, the oldest olive trees in the world and a high quality olive oil, very tasty food and authentic lifestyle. Visits, walks, swimming, tastings, cheese, wine and olive oil making demonstrations.
Itinerary
Bari - Otranto

Arrival in the airport of Bari, transfer to the hotel in Otranto. Dinner and overnight.
Otranto – Alberobello – Ostuni – Otranto
After the breakfast transfer to Alberobello, a village famous for its typical Trulli houses.
In the afternoon continue to Ostuni – the whitest village in Southern Italy, after a short walk along the narrow, white streets you can admire a beautiful view to the Adriatic sea and to the olive groves. Return to Otranto, typical dinner with local products and overnight.
Otranto – Lecce – Otranto
After the breakfast transfer to Lecce. Because of the rich Baroque architectural monuments found in the city, Lecce is commonly named “The Florence of the South”. Many of the buildings are built by followers of Michelangelo trying to be better than their „maestro”, so now we have a possibillity to admire these architectural pearls.
In the afternoon swimming break at Adriatic sea. In the evening – tasting of the local products and „Negroamaro” – the best wine of Salento.
Otranto – Martano – Otranto

The day is dedicated to a boat trip in Adriatic sea, from Castro until Santa Maria di Leuca. You will have a possibility to swim and to enjoy a fresh fish lunch, made by local fishermen.
In the evening visit of an olive oil farm in Martano – small greek made village. Short walk between the 1000 years old olive trees and tasting of fresh made olive oil. Dinner in a typical farm.
Otranto – Adriatic sea – Otranto
This morning you can choose: free morning for the swimming or shopping, or a visit of Otranto.
We will visit the Norman castle and the biggiest cathedral of Puglia with its’ impressive mosaic. Mosaic was created in 12th century by Basilian monk Pantaleone and it shows scenes from the Old Testament, as well as figures from medieval bestiaries, arranged alongside a ‘tree of life’, showing human experience from the Fall to salvation.
In the afternoon a boat trip to visit the caves – Grotta Azzurra, Palombara, Zinzulusa, Sulfurea.
Otranto - Bari

In the morning free time for swimming or last shopping. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Transfer to Bari. Short tour of Bari city and the cathedral of St. Nicholas, while walking along the streets of Bari you will see italian mammas making typical home made pasta „orecchiette”.
Farewell dinner and overnight.
